    Little Dog, Big Heart

We’re saying goodbye to our little dog today. She was running, going too fast, lost her footing and tumbled down the stairs. There was nothing that could be done.

The dear veterinarian down the street could not have been more perfect in taking her time with us.

I’ve been listening and learning about life after death, from famous medium Suzanne Giesemann, for over a year. She’s quite convincing with all of the evidence she gathers and insists on from the spirit world.

When I was holding Diz in my arms for the last time, her little spirit jumped right at my feet, and she was looking up at me bright eyed and bushy tailed! There was no mistaking it. She was so happy to see me and showed me how full of love and joy she was even after her body passing away.

It took me by surprise, but filled me with love and connection with her. She followed us home, so strong, so visible almost. Went out back with her sisters, and begged for treats as usual. I held the door for her spirit, because she was right there with us, so strong.

There is no doubt in my mind that she is living on, discovering a new adventure right now, and filled with joy and love.

I sat in my livingroom, crying, laughing, feeling disbelief, despair, comfort and so much love. “You are so loved”, Suzanne is always saying. I’m so very sorry that I can’t hold her again with my hands.

My chakra meditation board was on hand so I picked it up and began. Not clearing each one, but feeling the significance of each one, to our connection to each other, and our connection with spirit, life and to all of us. I got the peace, grounding and healing I needed from it.

When the meditation was done, my phone said 11:11. Spirit heard me. I knew it.

I asked who would take care of her now? Immediately my grandpa came to mind. An animal lover from way back. I introduced them aloud, talking to spirit, so they would know each other if they didn’t already. Thank you grandpa for taking care of her.

I recorded the audio from my prayer, my chakra grounding.

I will no longer be silent about how I see things.

Miss Diz, you will be so missed. My heart is full of love for you. Come home anytime. Guide your sisters when it’s their turn to come.

  • The Perfect Hard Boiled Egg Recipe that makes them easy to peel

The Perfect Hard Boiled Egg Recipe that makes them easy to peel

It took some experimenting to find the perfect recipe to make hard boiled eggs absolutely AMAZING every single time.

    • Delicious warm with a touch of sea salt
    • Easy to peel
    • My trick on how NOT to burn your fingers if you love them warm

I make 7 eggs each time two for me, two for Kathy, and one for each dog. They love them!!

    Here’s my secret recipe. Enjoy!

Start with cold water and add your eggs. Make sure the water is two inches above the tops of your eggs.

    1. Start with cold water and add your eggs. Make sure the water is two inches above the tops of your eggs.

    2. Turn the stove on high and set a timer for 15 minutes.

    You can literally walk away!

    3. After 15 minutes, carefully remove them with tongs and put them in a low bowl.

    4. Add just an inch of cold water and let them sit for a few minutes. This will cool the one side enough to touch.

    5. To cool the other side, turn them over and let them sit in the (now warm) water. It will still cool them.

    6. Now that they’re cool enough to handle, set up a peeling bowl and a serving bowl.

    7. Start peeling! It’s slightly easier if your fingers are wet.

Add a dash of sea salt and enjoy them warm!

  • HEAR ME

    HEAR ME

My sister in law has crossed over to the other side. In her short 50 years full of struggle, she did leave a beautiful legacy of children and grandchildren who are so special to me.

***If you or someone you love is struggling –> 988 <– is not just a suicide hotline, it’s a crisis hotline for any struggle. Call, text, chat. Tell them what’s bothering you. Tell them what you’re thinking about and can’t shake. They are trained especially to help you. They care. I care.

    Hear me???

Fostering Hope is a volunteer-run, donation-based, 501(c)(3) organization that serves the foster care community. Our mission is to empower youth experiencing foster care, nurture families, and restore dignity to every child we serve. Our goals are to reduce the barriers that stand in the way of people opening their hearts and homes to fostering and to make the transition into the foster care system less traumatic for children. We provide free resources to foster families, kinship care families, pre- and post-adoptive families, biological families on safety plans with their local child welfare office, and young adults who have recently aged out. Through comprehensive support, advocacy, and compassionate care, we are committed to creating a world where every child experiencing foster care feels valued, cherished, and equipped to thrive.

It was a very busy Saturday at the Foster Share closet where we served almost 30 children, and supplied them with clothing and other essential items. Ages ranged between newborn and 17 years old.

    Embroidery update

My neighbor had a baby girl last week. It was easy to hop over to five below and see what they had I could put her name on. Found this beautiful blue floral duffel bag, made of canvas. Nice soft texture. Not plasticky. (is that a word?). So I grabbed that and added her name in bright pink large lettering. Since I had a picture of little miss Isla as well, I made a simple minimalist design with the help of canva, and put it in a frame.

Both gifts cost under $20 total and I was so happy with the result. Added a card, and waited for the perfect time to leave it on their porch. They DO have a newborn after all, and I didn’t want to disturb them.

Finally it wasn’t raining and I happened to see the husband head down the street walking the dog. I brought it over and left it on the porch. Perfect timing. Soon I received a thank you text from little Isla’s mom. “Thank you so much for the gifts. They are so cute!!!”

    Journal Practice Update

I am writing all my blessings. I noticed when I did that before, I felt truly rich, more rich than ever before in my life. Not with things but it made me realize and appreciate more than ever, dozens of things throughout my day that I wouldn’t even think twice about before.
